

Music Festival: Vieilles Charrues NY 2016
1 October 2016 On Saturday, October 1st, we attended the American spin-off of the biggest French music festival, Vieilles Charrues. The original festival began in 1992 in a small Breton village with a gathering of 500 people. The festival has grown in size every year. It now attracts 250,000 music-lovers. This year, Vieilles Charrues celebrated its 25th anniversary with a special event at Rumsey Playfield, the site of Central Park's SummerStage, located on East 72nd Street


Politics in the Middle East | A Discussion at Albertine Reading Room and Bookshop
19 January 2016 This evening, we attended a discussion about politics in the Middle East with Jean-Pierre Filiu , who is a historian and professor at Sciences Po, the Paris Institute for Political Studies. The event was hosted by Albertine in partnership with the Cultural Services of the French Embassy in New York City. Drawing on his experience as a former diplomat and diplomatic advisor, the author presented the central argument in his new book, "From Deep State to Islami
