If this is your first time visiting my website, I'm glad you're here! My name is Chloë Blake Stevenson. I am a Certified French Teacher (K–12) with a Master’s degree in Foreign Language Education (Ed.M.).
Currently, I am offering private French lessons for children and adults of all proficiency levels, ranging from complete beginners through the Advanced Placement (AP) level and beyond. Options include 1-on-1 instruction as well as classes for pairs and small groups.
My pedagogical approach is communicative and standards-based in alignment with the proficiency guidelines established by the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL).
To this end, I design learning experiences that prioritize meaningful interactions in French by integrating authentic materials and engaging students in practical, task-based activities.
In the process, students strengthen their listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in the target language. At the same time, they develop greater communicative competence and expand their cultural literacy.
