Have you been wanting to develop greater communicative competence in French? If so, schedule a French lesson in 2022!


I am currently welcoming new students at the Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced proficiency levels.


Please note: All lessons will continue to occur exclusively online, using Zoom.


I have made this decision in the best interest of everyone's health and safety, especially given the ongoing presence of COVID-19 in our communities and the recent surge in hospitalizations due to the Omicron variant.

About Learn French with Chloë

My name is Chloë Blake Stevenson. I am a Certified French Teacher (K–12) with an Ed.M. in Foreign Language Education from Rutgers University and a B.A. in Cultural Anthropology from Reed College.

​

I have 15 years of experience teaching French to students across a range of proficiency levels, from introductory to Advanced Placement (AP). In particular, I have taught French at Princeton Charter School, The Lawrenceville School, Rutgers Preparatory School, and Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School.

 

I employ a communicative, standards-based pedagogical approach, consistent with the proficiency guidelines of the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL).

 

Currently, I provide tutoring for students aiming to improve their performance in French at local public and private schools. In addition, I offer French lessons for adults, focusing on Francophiles and working professionals.

 

I am passionate about the learning and teaching process, and I am eager to share my love of the French language and Francophone culture with all students.
