Learn French with Chloë, A Certified French Teacher (K-12) with a Master's Degree in Foreign Language Education (Ed.M.)

Today's World Cup 2026 match between France and Sénégal is about to start! The New York New Jersey (MetLife) Stadium in East Rutherford is packed with fans from both sides.


Before kickoff, supporters of each team sang their respective national anthems. I'll include a clip (below), so you can hear fans of Team France singing La Marseillaise.

About Learn French with Chloë

My name is Chloë Blake Stevenson. I am a Certified French Teacher (K–12) with an Ed.M. in Foreign Language Education from Rutgers University and a B.A. in Cultural Anthropology from Reed College.

​

I have 15 years of experience teaching French to students across a range of proficiency levels, from introductory to Advanced Placement (AP). In particular, I have taught French at Princeton Charter School, The Lawrenceville School, Rutgers Preparatory School, and Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School.

 

I employ a communicative, standards-based pedagogical approach, consistent with the proficiency guidelines of the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL).

 

Currently, I provide tutoring for students aiming to improve their performance in French at local public and private schools. In addition, I offer French lessons for adults, focusing on Francophiles and working professionals.

 

I am passionate about the learning and teaching process, and I am eager to share my love of the French language and Francophone culture with all students.
