Are you interested in learning French in the new year and improving your listening, reading, speaking, or writing skills?


Openings are currently available for new students at the Beginner, Intermediate, and Advanced proficiency levels. Options include lessons in-person or online, and students can select from 1-on-1 instruction, classes for pairs, or small group lessons.

About Learn French with Chloë

My name is Chloë Blake Stevenson. I am a Certified French Teacher (K–12) with an Ed.M. in Foreign Language Education from Rutgers University and a B.A. in Cultural Anthropology from Reed College.

​

I have 15 years of experience teaching French to students across a range of proficiency levels, from introductory to Advanced Placement (AP). In particular, I have taught French at Princeton Charter School, The Lawrenceville School, Rutgers Preparatory School, and Scotch Plains-Fanwood High School.

 

I employ a communicative, standards-based pedagogical approach, consistent with the proficiency guidelines of the American Council on the Teaching of Foreign Languages (ACTFL).

 

Currently, I provide tutoring for students aiming to improve their performance in French at local public and private schools. In addition, I offer French lessons for adults, focusing on Francophiles and working professionals.

 

I am passionate about the learning and teaching process, and I am eager to share my love of the French language and Francophone culture with all students.
